Friends of Swain House hold a weekly coffee morning every Thursday 8.50 - 11.15am. This is a great opportunity for parents and carers to meet up, make new friends and share ideas. The Friends of Swain House provide the refreshments and organise activities.

The Friends of Swain House is the Parent Teacher Association at Swain House Primary School.

During the year we organise a range of fund raising events for the school, including the annual summer fair and our famous chocolate raffle. In addition we hold four discos a year and fun competitions. for the children to enjoy.

The Friends have an important part to play in enhancing the lives of pupils at Swain House. Every year the Friends pay for the Christmas presents and party expenses for each child. For the last two years the Friends have organised a Secret Santa shop where the children can buy a gift for mum and dad. This has proved very popular. Also the Friends donate some money to each class who then decide for themselves how they want to spend it.

The Friends of Swain House is made up of a commitee which at present includes the following;

Chair – Julie Webb
Treasurer – Helen Minto
Secretary – Tina Hollings
Claire Broomfield
Gillian Mite
Donna Flynn
Paula Thackray
Janet Sutcliffe
Anne Habergham
Sarah Brook
Kirstie Bright

Kirsty Hardcastle

We are always keen for new members to join us. Speak to any committee member, your child's teacher or watch for letters regarding meetings. If you are unable to attend meetings we are always looking for volunteers to help at discos and at the fair.

Get involved in your child's school and make a difference.

Thank you for your support.
