Main Uniform – Winter
White/light blue polo shirt or blouse/shirt
Black/grey/navy school tailored trousers
Royal blue sweatshirt with/without school logo
Royal blue cardigan
Black/grey/navy/white plain tights
Black pumps
Sensible black school shoes for outdoor wear – these may have textured fabric or webbing and Velcro fasteners but must be entirely black with no logos
Black/grey navy skirt or pinafore or Salwar Kameez

Alternative – Summer Uniform
Black/grey/navy knee length shorts
Blue gingham dress
Royal blue cardigan

P.E. Uniform
Indoor
White/light blue T shirt – without logo
Black/grey/navy shorts – without logo (girls may wear plain black /grey/navy leggings under their shorts)
Outdoor
Black/grey/navy joggers & sweatshirt for outdoor games – without logo
Trainers*
*trainers may be worn if pupils are taking part in sporting activities at lunchtime. We recommend that all pupils keep their PE kit in school all the time and take it home at the holidays to be washed.

Jewellery
Pupils may not wear jewellery with the exception of one pair of stud earrings and watches. Swain House Primary accommodates exceptions to the above statement for recognised religious reasons in accordance with guidance from Bradford Council. Requests for exceptions should be made in writing. Jewellery, if worn for religious reasons, and watches will need to be removed for PE. Stud earrings may be kept in for PE with written permission from parents.

Pupils may not wear false nails for school. Pupils may not wear make-up for school.

Pumps and Shoes
Pumps and shoes should be kept in pump bags if clean and dry. If they are wet store them tidily under the cloakroom bench.

Clothing
All pupils are expected to wear full school uniform. Clothing must be clearly marked with your child’s name. Baseball cap/hats may not be worn in the classroom. Sweatshirts with the school logo may be purchased at the school office.
